We finally arrived here in Minneapolis, Minnesota after a LONG flight.
We were SUPPOSED to leave at 2:15 PM, BUT of course Jenny and Jenna forgot their driver's license in their rooms. I guess it's better that they realized this before we left campus! I also got made fun of for my ugly suitcase I received for my senior rec. last year...it is Barney purple.
After we arrived at Pittsburgh Airport and have had our fill of Ben & Jerry's, we met our first of many friends, Shelly (age 12). We actually have NO idea what this girl's real name is, but she was too cute. She awkwardly commented on everyone, starting with Jenna's shoes and ending with my stuffed dog, Forrest. She asked about my dogs...(YES I have multiple stuffed dogs in my bag...) and what their names were. Then, Shelly and I had a delightful chat about how her dog hates to fetch a frisbee and how her grandma's dog LOVES to catch. Made me want a real dog. After a while, it was time to head off to Chicago and we said our farewells.
On the plane, Jenna got the pleasure of sitting next to a wonderful gentleman. He asked where we were from and naturally she replies Grove City College. The man kindly says "OH! The one where the porn star went? DeSalvo right?". What does one say to something like this? WELL, the normal person would kindly say yes, but Jenna being the colorful person she is says "Yeah he's fun...." YIKES. And the man finally said after a pause "Well, gotta do what you gotta do..." That's a whole lot of awkward.
We finally arrived in Chicago where we met our first of many teams, Williams, and made a couple "friends." By friends, I mean acquaintances that we just happened to talk to for a while.
Jenna, having such great luck with seat buddies, has yet ANOTHER strange seat buddy.
He was an overweight 26 year old male that kept trying to hug her...saying anything to try to get Jenna to talk back and MAYBE just MAYBE give him her phone number. Unfortunately, there was no escape for poor Jenna, but she would be out of there soon enough. Meanwhile, Jenny and I sat with an old man and watched the end of Gamer and the beginning of Wall-e. After our flight, we picked up our 12 person "party bus" and went to Outback Steakhouse for dinner.
The dinner was delicious as usual, then we were off to our awesome hotel! The purple suitcase and I went to our room and went to sleep, on our sleep number beds of course...although, Jenny says she didn't sleep. Apparently, I kick and steal covers, who knew??
This morning after breakfast, we picked up our free gift, which were quality headphones. Coach was not impressed. He doesn't feel like he can use them. But hey, we think they are awesome!
We swam for a little bit and the pool is BEAUTIFUL. I will have to take pictures tomorrow. Of course I forgot my camera. Darn. We got new suits today, too! Lzr Elites. We can't wait to try them out tomorrow!
Lastly, we have the banquet today...more food...oh man...Can't wait!
Keep you all updated,
LOOOVVEEE,
